Spiritual Preparedness - Thought for the Week

"I maintain that a strong testimony of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and of His gospel will help see us through to safety.  If you are not reading the Book of Mormon each day, please do so.  If you will read it prayerfully and with a sincere desire to know the truth, the Holy Ghost will manifest its truth to you."

The Spiritual preparedness committee has invited us to ponder and act upon the quote from President Monson for the next few weeks.

Happy Birthday SISTER (Sandy) KING

Monday, April 16-   3 Months Out! Today marks the 3 month mark when I went into the MTC! I went for a quick walk down to the creek last night and met a lady that was walking about the same pace as me.  I took off my earbuds and started to talk to her.  We talked and walked and she showed me so many fun ways to get around here.  We ended up going a little over 4 miles before it started to get dark. We had such a great time talking.  Her comment to me was, “You Mormons sure are friendly!”  It’s so much fun to “put yourself out there” and open up to new people and different places.  The older I get, the more that I have enjoyed it. We went past a small shopping strip and I found a cute little sewing shop there.  I think I'll start making things and donating them to the ward members, such as baby blankets, etc.  That will fill up my needs a little.  I am so grateful that we have been able to fill up this week with appointments.  The busier I am, the happier I am.  I think generally I am a happy person.  I feel the need to work hard in my life.  I think that is a blessing that I have been given.
